RESIDENTIAL SOLAR WATER

This type of installation has become very popular in Ireland due to the grants available to householders under the "greener homes scheme" run by sustainable energy Ireland (SEAI).

Wyse solar solutions can design a system for customers needs and help apply for the grant to SEAI. All products used by Wyse solar solutions are SEAI approved.

As explained in the "solar water section" of this site this type of system is very efficient for a customer's hot water needs both in summer and as a complimentary system in winter.

Solar thermal systems consist of the following components:

1. Collectors (usually 2 - 6)
2. Pipe work from roof to hot water cylinder
3. Solar storage cylinder (replaces existing storage cylinder unless twin coil in existence)
4. Solar Station (to control solar circuit)
5. Solar control unit (for automatic operation of system)
6. Expansion vessel (compensates for thermal expansion of solar fluid)

Solar thermal systems are compatible with many types of boilers, whether oil, gas, or wood pellet, even with older devices, and can be installed in a single day.
